Robertson's Yard Exhibition
David Hutchison has recently finished work on the history of Robertson's Yard and accounted for 468 of the 482 numbered boats built there. The local Library Historian at Sandbank is organising a wee 'Robertson's Yard' exhibition at the Dunoon Library from 12 April to 31 May. There will be a slide show with photos of the main boats (1890-1980). A list of all the Robertson boats, with their histories, will also be available to view
see Member projects under David Hutchison for details

The Association was formed in 2005 to provide a forum for all those interested in the history of yachting - the boats, the people, the events. It is a membership organisation where members share experience and knowledge to further understanding of the sport through:

encouraging research
into yachting history

facilitating the exchange of information between members

dissemination of members research findings

fostering links between organisations involved in yachting history

The Association organises regular meetings around the country at which guest speakers and members describe their work at locations where source material can be reviewed and evaluated - see programme summary for upcoming events and reports of past events.

More detailed reports of members work may be published here.

As a membership organisation, membership fees sustain the organisation and occasional support for projects - if you have any interest, do please join. We are an international organisation with members world-wide.
